Open Nvite exists to help people share small moments together in the real world. Whether it’s a walk, a conversation, a game, or time at a café, the goal is simple: make it easier for people to connect in everyday public spaces.

To keep Open Nvite welcoming, comfortable, and respectful for everyone, we ask all users to follow these community guidelines.

These guidelines help protect the experience for everyone using the platform.

Be Respectful

Open Nvite moments should feel welcoming and low-pressure.

Treat others with kindness and respect. Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind is not permitted.

This includes behavior based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal characteristic.

If someone decides to leave a moment early or decline participation, respect that decision without pressure or confrontation.

Keep Moments Public

Open Nvite is designed for moments that take place in public spaces where people naturally gather.

Examples include:

  • parks

  • cafés

  • libraries

  • hotels

  • lounges

  • plazas

  • community spaces

Moments hosted in private residences, private hotel rooms, or secluded locations are not permitted on the platform.

Public environments help create a safer and more comfortable experience for everyone involved.

No Promotions or Sales

Open Nvite is not intended to be used as a marketing platform or advertising channel.

Businesses may host moments in their spaces, but these moments should focus on providing a welcoming environment, not promoting products or services.

Individuals should not use moments to sell products, promote businesses, recruit participants for outside programs, or distribute promotional material.

Be Honest About Moments

When creating a moment, provide accurate information about:

  • the activity

  • the location

  • the time

  • what participants should expect

Misleading descriptions, bait-and-switch activities, or deceptive information are not allowed.

Respect Personal Boundaries

Everyone participates in moments voluntarily.

Do not pressure others to:

  • stay longer than they wish

  • share personal information

  • move the gathering to another location

  • participate in activities they are uncomfortable with

People should always feel comfortable leaving at any time.

Use Messaging Responsibly

Open Nvite allows participants to contact hosts to ask questions about a moment.

Messaging should remain respectful and relevant to the moment being hosted. Harassment, unwanted contact, or inappropriate messages are not permitted.

Report Concerns

If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines or makes you uncomfortable, please use the reporting tools within the platform.

Our Role

Open Nvite may remove moments, suspend accounts, or take other action when behavior violates these guidelines or threatens the safety of the community.
